Equipment & Services

At K-Drill, we have brought together the best personnel in the industry with a fleet of highly specified rigs across our four key drilling methods of reverse circulation (RC) drilling, air core drilling, auger drilling and diamond drilling.

K-Drill operates a modern, mobile truck mounted drilling fleet to perform reverse circulation, air core, auger and diamond core drilling. Our crews are well trained and have experience in all different aspects of core drilling including deep hole (core to 1,500m), multiple intersection drill holes, predictable directional drilling and surface coring.

Over the last 12 months, we’ve been reinvesting in our fleet, refitting them to the highest standards of performance, reliability, and operating efficiency by our manufacturing partner Schramm. Our upgraded drill rigs are equipped with the latest technology, allowing us to work faster and more efficiently. This means shorter project timelines and reduced costs for our clients.

With advanced precision controls, we can ensure even more accurate drilling, minimising environmental impact and maximising resource recovery. Of course, safety is our top priority. These new rigs are designed with cutting-edge safety features to protect our team and the environment, making our operations even more sustainable.

Thanks to improved reliability and maintenance systems, our new drill rigs experience significantly less downtime, keeping projects on track. We are committed to minimising our ecological footprint. These rigs are designed to be more eco-friendly, with reduced emissions and efficient resource utilisation.

We stand out as a leader amongst drilling companies in Australia, offering reliable, productive, and safe drilling combined with modern technology to ensure superior results for clients.

Reverse circulation drilling

We operate a fleet of high-capacity, intrinsically safe, surface RC drill rigs that include automated rod handling and break outs, casing advance and leading air power.

Suitable for Deep Exploration, Resource Definition, Grade Control and Hydro Drilling, our rigs are engineered to reach your targets on time and every time.

Our truck mounted Schramm T685 drilling rigs have been modified to remove the air compressor from the truck to increase rod handling capacity and have a specialised high speed, intrinsically safe rod loading system.

The rigs are significantly lighter than a standard Schramm allowing safer use in the field and access via roads or tracks.

The truck mounted rig packages are capable of drilling RC holes in excess of 500 metres and they carry 330m of on-board drill rods accessed by the hands-free rod handler.

Our remote-controlled air support truck packages are rated at 2500cfm at 350psi or 2300cfm at 1000psi which allows for high quality production of RC holes.

Air core drilling

Our Air Core drilling rig is versatile in many remote areas of operation. Mounted on a 4x4 trucks, our rigs allow us to access difficult areas that most would avoid.

K-Drill’s aircore rig is nimble and requires minimal track clearing. The rig package offers high productivity combined with a quality sample and experienced crew.

Standard safety features include rod spin cage, auto rod spanners, and an acoustically enclosed compressor with fire suppression.

Auger drilling

Diamond drilling

Our modern Sandvik DE820 truck-mounted diamond drill rigs can access the most remote exploration targets to complete the job efficiently and safely.

We can deliver dual-tube or triple-tube applications in PQ, HQ, or NQ sizing. We have the capacity to drill and recover core to drill depths of PQ 600m, HQ 1000m, NQ 1500m. We also have the capacity for optional hands-free rod handling via an EDM rod loader sloop on request.

We support all our drilling operations with live data and comms via StarLink for our teams to ensure we can support our remote operations.

Our crews are experienced in all ground formations and can competently deliver excellent core recoveries in varying ground formations and conditions.

K-Drill offers experienced and qualified crews, supervision, and maintenance teams ready to support our modern equipment as part of our diamond core drilling division in Western Australia.

Auger drilling is an ideal method to obtain accurate geochemical samples in a cost-effective manner.

Our Auger packages are designed for low impact, first pass auger drilling to a depth of 1-3m vertical. Our auger drill is mounted on tracked skid steer platforms, and our auger drilling division can gain access to areas with limited physical footprint and minimal clearing.

The Auger package is supported by 4x4 Canam low-impact ATVs to provide safe transport of crews and samples to and from the drill location.

Combined with experienced drill crews, superior customer service and the provision of detailed digital drilling reports, K-Drill represents a highly productive, safe, and reliable service.
